EASY QUICHE RECIPE

Ramzan means only one thing to me.
Baking. Bus.

Nothing in this world is as joyous as baking.
Also,I am a HUGE fan of Pinterest.
Just write the name of one ingredients in the search box and there comes a huge list of recipes that can be made quite easily if only you follow the steps right.

Today I made the easiest quiche ever. And it tastes heavenly. Not to brag or anything.
And it looks pretty too. *_*

EASY  QUICHE RECIPE:

Prep Time: 30 mins
Bake Time: 45mins
Serves 8 people

Pie crust:
1 cup floor
6 tbsp cold butter
Pinch of salt
4tbsp ice cold water

PROCEDURE:
In a food processor, mix flour and salt with butter until it's crumbly
And one tbsp of water at a time till the dough comes together
Knead the dough, and make a ball and refrigerate till it's time to bake

For quiche filling:

1 cup chicken cooked, and shredded
2 and a half cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg/garlic
3large beaten eggs
1.5 cups evaporated milk
13" deep pie dish/mould

PROCEDURE:
Preheat the oven at 175degree Celsius and line the pie crust in a deep pie dish.
Pre bake the pie crust for 5 minutes

In the crust, add the cheese on the base
Then add chicken
Then a layer of onions

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add salt pepper and nutmeg in it. Mix in the evaporated milk and pour  it over the assembled quiche

Bake for 40-45 minutes till the egg centre becomes firm. The top color should be golden brown.

Let it rest and cool down for ten minutes before taking it out.

CHOCOLATE CRINKLE COOKIES

I am going to betray my love for this post but oh well, when have I been such a model of morals anyway.

This weekend, for no other reason than the craving for sugar, compelled me to bake. Cookies. Again.
To be honest, in past my cookie baking skills totally sucked.
No kidding.

But as a dheet person I am, I keep improvising and wasting flour until I make something edible.
My mother is very supportive as long as I clean up later.

Chocolate crinkle cookies might just be the easiest and most satisfying cookies I have ever eaten. And not just because I-made-them-so-I-am-going-to-praise-them.

Look!

These take about half an hour of your time and leave you wanting more.
I stored mine in a jar, which is now empty but I still rattled it twice this morning just to make sure.

WHAT IS AWESOME ABOUT THIS RECIPE?

It can be easily multiplied to make multiple batches
Takes less than 15 mins per batch to bake
Can be made in either Electric or a Gas oven

Yes, my love for microwaves is not that perfect anyway.

CHOCOLATE CRINKLE COOKIES

SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE IN 6 MINUTES

As I promised last week, I will be back with a recipe for salted caramel sauce.
So here I am.

Call it fate or luck, I happen to stumble upon a rather easy way to make a caramel sauce in a microwave.

Yes, I am ranting about microwaves and my love for them. Again.

Microwave Bread Pudding With Dates

Earlier this year, one of my best friends  invited me over to her house. It has made a VERY deep impression on my soul.

No, no one died in that slumber party. You guys should watch less t.v.

Haha, there goes my attempt at being funny.

Anyway what really impressed upon me was the delicious Shahi Tukray her mother had cooked for us.
I have eaten enough desserts to expertly declare them world class!
So this one evening in July, when I started craving that beautiful thing, I honestly could not bring myself to actually try to make it.

Easy 20 Minutes Dessert When You Don't Have Any Good Ingredients

Studying late night can make your cravings go wild, especially when you are supposed to be on a diet.
And when all you have is disgusting diet food, your mind has a serious risk of crashing!

I should get dessert when I want dessert!

So when last night a friend (from the heavens!) brought in a pack of cream, I HAD to get up and whip something up.
I for one, strongly believe in microwave. Yes, I know its a potential cancer risk but so is a cell phone. Huh.
